Dave Lock was born in Mexico City, Mexico in 1975. In 1994 he attended his first underground house and techno music events at Tucson Arizona USA where he fell in love with electronic dance music from the first beat.

The last five years he has lived in his homeland, collecting music like a madman mainly in the progressive house and microhouse styles and refining his Djing and Production Skills. He also quit playing vinyl in favour of the more "disposable" cd format.

In 2002 he started getting serious about producing and started learning how to use sequencer programs and soft synths. Now he produces in a variety of styles, but mainly progressive and Tech house with a bit of an acidic twist. Dave Lock has several tracks released on BIT Records Mexico. He also produces house music events with Palapa Vibe Productions.

As a Dj he changed his name again to Dj Grin. He played an online Radio Show in 2005 called "Moving Darkness" hosted by www.djzone.gr, a Greek web. His sets can be found online on several sites including one of the top rated podcasts in the last year on www.progressivehouse.com: Progcast 019 - Dj Grin, and will have sets for download soon on www.djmix.net. He continues to perform in events in all of Mexico City.
