Qualia Six is musical project which follows these principles and embraces the musical experience as sixth sense of its own. Music of Q6 denies musical genres as limits of sound creation and always tries to combine and reinvent the elements of different backgrounds, be it tech-house, funk, progressive, minimal, techno, breaks or who knows what else comes around...
Qualia 6 is a production and live act team of expandable family of musicians and entertainers from Slovenia, founded, raised and gathered by producer and frontman Alan Roposa and his long time partner in crime Maja Gaber as co-founder, production and stage supporter. Hence they fuel their eclectic live shows with lots of dynamic interplay between energetic and soul intriguing passages, that are occasionally supported with guests performances from mc's, vocalists, guitar and bass players etc....
In 2004 Qualia 6 released their debut, Qualia Nation EP on UK based Minimal Records (as Qualia), which received support from the names like Nick Warren, James Zabiela, Chris Fortier, Futureshock, Kingkade and many others with the track Phenomenology also being licensed on La Rocca Marco at Sundays 2004 compilation sharing place with Pako&Frederik, Baart van Wissen and others. Soon after they released tech-funk pumper Jogg Beat on Prooved vol.2 compilation by D-Nox and Beckers Plastic Park imprint and Feedback on Israeli based VP Records. With the digital advent they also put several tracks on EDM digital and after extensive live act stampedo in their region alongside respectable artists such as The Scumfrog, Anthony Pappa, Darren Emerson, General Midi, Dj Remy, Evil Eddie Richards, Seamus Haji, Lee Cabrera and many others the time has come for a new challenge, new sound and a few new cables…
And so it came 2006 with some major personal journeys of Q6 members that had left a lot of new ideas and concepts, which are slowly yet steadily going to realize on many of forth coming releases and side projects. Starting with fresh label Amniotik Records from Panama which released Qualia Six EP in august and got extensive support from Randall Jones, Luke Porter, Mitch Law, Tim Davis, Balance Pool Chart etc. and following with Quantique, mind-boggling release on highly acclaimed UK underground label Red Ant Recordings packed with a remix from wicked german “fella” Jochen Trappe coming up to nr.8 in Balance Pool Chart. Such techy, emotionally pump'n'sliced sound of Qualia 6, which above all likes to play with musical contrasts between noisy and clean, maximal and minimal, emotional and energetic, old school and no school now continues the ride with forthcoming releases on rocking label Bit Records Mexico ...
Afterall, the world needs unity more than ever...in many senses!
